E01. Lupine Colorful Mix Seed Packet
$5.00
Lupines provide a spectacular display and are favored by bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. This mix contains hybridized varieties to provide a range of colors including pink, purple, yellow, red, and white. Lupines are perennial, tolerate dry sandy soils, have deep roots, and can spread by reseeding.
Lupine seeds have a tough coating and must be prepared before planting. You can soak them in water for 48 hours, or vigorously rub the seeds between two sheets of sandpaper, or plant in the late fall when the winter freezing action will break down the coating. You can spread the seeds directly onto the soil and ensure good seed-to-soil contact. You can also start the seeds indoors/in trays and transplant.
Sold in ounce packets, enough for 50 square feet.
