Fruit is sweet and has great flavor for eating fresh or baking. Mid-late season maturity. Scab resistant. This variety was developed in Nova Scotia and is similar to the Northern Spy. EMLA 111 is a robust dwarfing rootstock; the tree will reach up to 20 feet tall. Sold as a dormant bare root, about 4-6 feet tall.
