An endearing native shrub with glossy leave, white flowers that bloom in spring-early summer, and black-purple berries and red foliage in the fall. It grows to about 4-6 feet tall. Birds and small animals will enjoy the shelter and berries. The berries are not toxic but also not tasty to humans unless preserved as a jam. Part shade or full sun. Sold as a dormant bareroot seedling, 36-48 inches tall.
