September 12, 2015 from 12 pm to 4:30 pm in New Durham, NH
This upcoming hands-on workshop is an exciting opportunity to learn about the keyline strategy and how it might help your farm. Including Keyline subsoiling and landscape design in your whole-farm management can help to improve soil health, increase yields, improve water infiltration and increase the depth of carbon-rich topsoil on your farm. The workshop will be led by by Vermont-based Abe Collins of Collins Grazing, LLC.
SCCD will have a Yeomans plow available to rent, which is an implement that helps to break up deep soil compaction and improve soil health. This workshop is your chance to learn how you might be able to use the plow on your property and see it in action.
The annual Strafford County Conservation District meeting will be held after the workshop. Dinner will be provided, and Abe Collins will speak on growing working watersheds.
Come for the Keyline workshop, the annual meeting, or both!
